Brittany Crocker Highlight
My end result for my job is to have something visually that solves a problem for people to see. I really like that.
About Brittany
- After high school, I wasn’t really sure what I wanted to do, so I initially went to college for zoology because that was a hobby of mine.
- My mom discouraged me from continuing with zoology because she didn’t think I’d make any money, so I tried a few other things.
- College just didn’t really seem right for me at the time and I ultimately left with enough credits for an associate degree in nutrition.
- I joined the workforce and hoped I’d find something that sparked my interest.
- I spent about 10 years working in various positions but never really found anything that utilized my two main interests—helping people and problem solving.
- I learned about UX design from a colleague and was intrigued—I sat down with that colleague for a few lunches to learn more about her work.
- After doing more research into UX design, I decided to do a three-month immersive UX design immersive program with General Assembly.
- About a month after finishing the program, I got my first UX job and have been doing this ever since!
