About Amber
- In college, I didn’t really know what I wanted to do—I switched my major five times before deciding on business.
- I ended up graduating with a degree in human resources management and business management.
- I graduated during the recession and couldn’t find a human resources job, so I took a customer service role at an appraisal management company.
- I worked my way up for a while and then got the opportunity to join a staffing firm—I worked at the firm for about a year before I was unfortunately laid off.
- I was out of work for a few months and then got an offer to join OneAmerica as a talent acquisition consultant.
- I fell in love with recruiting and decided that this is what I’m meant to be doing.
- Since being hired with OneAmerica, I’ve worked my way up to talent acquisition manager.
