My name is Bonita Dianne Clements. Bonita means pretty and I was told that by my fourth grade teacher, Mrs. Hall. Second name, Dianne, named after my mother who passed away when she was only 42 years old. So I created a nonprofit to help other African American women with their health issues because she had a stroke. And it's one of the number one killers of African American women. So I started this organization called Dianne's Call and I am the Executive Director. I also have a company called Bonita Global. And Bonita global is a bomber advocate, consulting firm. Where we help to connect farmers with resources. So when I was a little girl I was a loner and I was a thinker. But I love being around people. But when it was time for me to think, I wanted to separate and just go think. So I've been a meditator now for over 30 years. And I am living my best life, I love waking up in the morning, sometimes I just walk with a smile on my face because I'm doing exactly what I love to do. And you have to live that way. But ,again, always work hard no matter what you do. Even if you don't like the job work hard at it till you get to that next thing.

I started my career as an internal auditor at a bank but quickly realized it wasn't for me. I tried many jobs while searching for the right fit. I used to be embarrassed but now I know that all of those jobs gave me the skills I needed to succeed.

I was in a car accident and had to have surgery. I was miserable and in pain for five years. I finally decided that I wanted to feel good again. I replaced medication with healthy food and got a Master of Public Health degree.

My mother passed away at age 42 after a stroke. Her passing led me to create a nonprofit to help other African American women with their health issues.
