About Victoria
- I’m from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where I witnessed a lot of homelessness.
- I volunteered for a food drive as part of a community service requirement for high school—the experience was very fulfilling and made me realize that I wanted to shape my career toward public service.
- In college, I studied public health and focused primarily on poverty and the housing crisis.
- I joined Bike & Build, an affordable housing organization that supports other organizations like Habitat for Humanity and Community Rebuilds during cross-country and regional trips.
- Through Bike & Build, I was placed in Moab, Utah, to work on sustainable and natural building.
- I was placed for a two-month project but decided to stay as an Americorps apprentice for Community Rebuilds and continue to put my efforts toward the housing crisis through construction.
