About Orlando
- After high school, I joined the Navy, where I also competed in wrestling for three of my four years.
- When I got out of the military, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do but I knew I wanted to work somewhere in the field of law.
- I got recruited to wrestle by Arizona State University, so I decided to take some classes at Rio Salado College during the summer before my first semester to get into the swing of college.
- I earned my bachelor’s degree in justice studies from Arizona State University.
- While working as a patrol officer for Casa Grande Police Department, I earned my associate’s degree in law enforcement technology from Rio Salado College.
- I eventually went back to Arizona State University to earn my master’s degree in legal studies—at the same time, I moved into working on the investigations response team for Uber.
- Throughout these transitions, I kept connections in mixed martial arts by competing as an MMA fighter myself as well as working in various administrative and instructive positions in the industry.
- During the COVID-19 pandemic, I saw an opportunity to help people get out and be active, so I created Fight Rope, a jump rope and fitness business.
