One of my favorite parts of my job is being able to storytell and showcase the technology that’s behind the innovation.
About Emily
- I grew up in Los Angeles, California.
- My grandparents were farmers and my dad spent his career working in produce, so I’ve always been passionate about finding ways to bring food to people in a local and sustainable way.
- I studied public relations, political science, and environmental science at the University of Southern California.
- While in college, I started interning with Grades of Green, an environmental nonprofit in Los Angeles that works with students to create action-driven campaigns for environmental change.
- Upon receiving my master’s degree in strategic public relations, I was hired on as the marketing and communications manager for Grades of Green.
- As the organization grew, I was promoted to the director of global programs and then co-executive director.
- After experiencing all of the growth and impact of Grades of Green, I eventually felt like it was time for me to get back into the idea-to-action phase of an organization, so I joined AeroFarms.
- I started with AeroFarms as the marketing communications manager and have since moved up to senior marketing manager, leading our internal and external communications.
