About Jeremy

In high school, my parents expected me to go to college, but they were very hands-off, so I didn’t really have any drive or direction towards a certain major, college, or career path.
For my bachelor's degree, I decided to go to the University of Michigan after visiting my older sister when she was a student there.
Instead of starting my career right after graduating, I bought an old car and drove out to Colorado to ski—I would wait tables at night at a hotel and then ski during the day.
I worked in the Soviet Union for the first few years of my career until I realized that I didn’t want to spend my life working abroad.
When I came back to the U.S., I went back to school to get my MBA but still didn’t really know what I wanted to do as a career.
After graduate school, my girlfriend suggested I go into management consulting, so I went to work for a consulting firm...which is where I actually met the future CEO of the College Board.
From there, I worked my way through a variety of positions within the education and nonprofit sectors.
I’m now the president of the College Board, helping to improve equity and access for all students to achieve success—and this is my fourth time working with the CEO of the College Board!
