About Kate
- Born in New Jersey, but raised in Pennsylvania.
- Attended Keystone College, where I received my associate’s degree in fine arts with the goal of becoming a toy designer in New York City.
- After developing an interest in puppetry and performing, I began to consider acting as a potential career.
- Decided to transfer to Loyola Marymount University, where I received my bachelor’s degree in studio art.
- Turned down an opportunity to work at Mattel in order to have the flexibility needed to go out on acting auditions.
- Began my career acting in commercials and eventually started landing small roles on television shows like “Malcolm in the Middle” and “How I Met Your Mother.”
- I've since gone on to star in recurring roles on shows like “Raising Hope” and “The Big Bang Theory,” and I've also lent my voice to shows like Disney’s “Be Cool, Scooby-Doo!” and “DuckTales.”
- I am also one half of the comedy-folk band, Garfunkel and Oates, alongside fellow actress and songwriter, Riki Lindhome.
