I went to high school in a town named Monrovia. It's a small, little, quaint town in San Gabriel Valley in southern California. I grew up in Monrovia with the same group of kids throughout kindergarten, throughout high school. So I used to be a really shy person. And in high school I recalled having an evolution stage, so to speak, going outside my comfort zone. I don't know exactly what the future may bring but all you can do is work hard for it and not give up and try new things. Go outside your comfort zone cuz you never know where it is your gonna end up. I'm always amazed with people that know exactly the path they wanna do. But I think it's also good to embrace the fact that you don't have to know the x, y and z to get to that bigger picture. As long as you have the drive to reach a bigger picture, then it's fantastic. Just go with it and see what happens.

You’re constantly going to be in competition with others and with yourself, and you’re constantly going to be asking yourself if you’re doing enough. Guess what? You are doing enough, and it’s all going to be okay. Don’t get caught up in worrying about your future; instead, take this time to discover who you are because you’re never going to be in high school again. Of course, I recommend you try your absolute best—the effort will take you somewhere completely different from where you are now.

I spend a lot of time staying up to date with trends on social and helping my clients plan for upcoming campaigns. We figure out what each month will look like, when we’ll post, when we’ll roll out special moments in campaigns, what audience we want to reach, etc. Working in social media isn’t as “on the fly” as you’d think, but at the same time, you never know when something unexpected on social can totally work for your client.

Aside from being a first-generation college student navigating through affording college and learning the system, the real “noise” arrived after graduation – I was laid off my second official job after college.
