My path in life took a while to figure out
1.
I got into Loyola Law School and studied hard to get a juris doctor and multiple other degrees. Some of these degrees helped me get to where I am today because I worked different roles.
2.
Transferred to my dream school, UCLA. There, I achieved my bachelor's of science degree to officially start my practice. This was a very vital milestone for my career—it is most relevant and helpful.
Defining Moments
How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Peers:
The law field is very broad and complicated. It requires sternness and capabilities to strategize from a business perspective, which are not worth the effort to learn.
How I responded:
Stay true to your interests. I stayed motivated because I really wanted to become a lawyer, and the business aspect incorporated many of my strengths. I kept telling myself I would make it and that it would be the dream job for me.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
I overcame this obstacle by remaining resilient and telling myself I am a successful woman. My family has pushed me to the brink of burnout many times, but my motives to pursue my interests and live a self-sustaining life kept me going.
