Day to Day

My typical day consists of charting, observing historical records, medical management, and getting their assessments done. All these individual tasks can take a while depending on the needs of the infant. Some of the assessments consist of weighing the baby, changing the linen (the bedding), their diapers, and bathing the infants. I have to do all that while trying not to come into physical contact with them for 6 hours.

Advice for Getting Started

Here's the first step for high school students

Don't be afraid to take risks. As terrifying as applying for the nursing program was, I did it regardless. I had no idea what was waiting for me on the other side, and I wouldn't have if it weren't for that moment of courage.

From Family:

"You shouldn't be a nurse, you should be a doctor instead. You have to make sure this is something you want to do in the long run because you can quickly get burnout. "
