When I stopped waiting around for the big opportunities to come knocking, I found success in the smaller opportunities that were available.

Milestones

My road in life has been direct.
Starting out, I offered free services to family, friends, and community causes. After producing good work and building skills, I was able to earn money as a freelancer.
My graphic design work, later turned to website design work, which advanced into interactive design work, then ultimately lead to the skills needed to build many types of web applications.
When I stopped waiting around for the big opportunities to come knocking, I found success in the smaller opportunities that were available.
I worked in the non-profit industry as an IT & web professional. The experience learned in the non-profit sector helped me get a job in the higher education industry.
Working in higher education, I was able to learn a variety of technologies, get a true sense of the importance of working with different teams.
