Part of my day is spent talking to audit teams around the country listening to complex income tax accounting fact patterns that they see on their clients, and helping them to determine the most appropriate accounting for those items based on FASB guidance. Part of my day is meeting with members of my team to talk through new guidance or complex questions that were particularly thought provoking. And part of my day is writing guidance in plain English that we can publish to help people learn.
