Working with Others

Day to Day

Everyday starts with spending time with my family. I try to get the kids fed, dressed, and out the door by 8:00am. In the office / client by 9:00am. I like to start with a quick email check and download from the team. The rest of the day is filled with discussions with my team with any questions they have in their testing, reviewing the work of my team and making sure I agree with conclusions, and talking with the client to manage the relationship. Back home for dinner / bedtime at 7:00pm.

Advice for Getting Started

Here's the first step for everyone

Talk to someone in the profession. Talk to multiple people who have done it, have quit doing it, and are still doing it. Talk to people early in their career and more experienced in their career. This may help develop some perspective and expectations of what the career holds and where it may lead you.
