Milestones

My road in life took a while to figure out.
My degree is in physics and at that time, there were only 2 female students in our year taking physics.
I decided to apply for a position as an auditor at a Big 4 even though I did not know what auditing was. I felt it was a great stepping stone to other career options.
I did a 15 month secondment in the U.S. and never went back!
I worked at the PCAOB for nine years.
I moved from auditing and inspecting to performing root cause analysis.
I started my career in Liverpool, England, moved to Chicago, then moved to San Francisco, and now I split my time between San Francisco and NJ.

Day to Day

I have calls to discuss the root causes for non-compliant audits. I analyze data that may provide insights into root causes. I work with my team to determine what we believe the root causes of issues are. We work with other groups to develop actions to take in response to those root causes. I review training. We monitor the implementation and effectiveness of the actions. I draft reports to document our findings.
