Life & Career Milestones

My path in life took a while to figure out

  • 1.

My degree is in physics and at that time, there were only 2 female students in our year taking physics.

  • 2.

I decided to apply for a position as an auditor at a Big 4 even though I did not know what auditing was. I felt it was a great stepping stone to other career options.

  • 3.

I did a 15 month secondment in the U.S. and never went back!

  • 4.

I worked at the PCAOB for nine years.

  • 5.

I moved from auditing and inspecting to performing root cause analysis.

  • 6.

I started my career in Liverpool, England, moved to Chicago, then moved to San Francisco, and now I split my time between San Francisco and NJ.

Defining Moments

How I responded to discouragement

  • THE NOISE

    Messages from Myself:

I will never make partner because I am a woman.

  • How I responded:

Practice positive self talk. Ask a female partner to be a mentor. Never give up.
