Accountants are boring people who sit at computers and only do math all day.
How I responded:
My job is actually very people oriented. I spend most of my time motivating, encouraging and teaching my teams, listening to my client's challenges and problem-solving using reasoned judgment based on the technical accounting guidance and regulatory standards. Working well with others is a real skill set in both business and life (although knowing all the cool excel tricks and functions is also really helpful too).
