Milestones
My road in life has been direct.
I was always a theatrical kid. Growing up, I wanted a Borghese makeup kit more than anything.
I had an “Aha!” moment while doing makeup and hair in salons and went to learn special effects makeup.
I started doing makeup for films in the early 90s while still in school.
I worked in film for a while until I got a chance to tour with Janet Jackson in 1998.
I started my own makeup company.
I got a call to work with Pink and ended up touring with her on and off for 14 years.
I’ve also had the opportunity to tour with other artists such as Tina Turner, Katy Perry, Bruce Springsteen, and Cher.

Day to Day
It changes all the time since I get to travel the world and work with many different artists. For shows, I usually go in to work at about 1 or 2PM to set up my room before things start at around 8 or 9PM. I do makeup before the show and touch-ups throughout and I also help with costumes. When I do music videos, I get to put together a team and work with the choreographers and director to talk about my vision. All of that is so exciting and I just really love the creative process.
Advice for Getting Started
Here's the first step for everyone
Love what you do. Say yes to everything. If you don’t know how to do something, then learn how and keep going until you feel like you got it. Eventually you’ll understand the tricks of the trade. You have to listen to yourself and find what gives you joy. For some people, traveling is not for them. It’s not glamorous, but it is creative and passionate and you see the world and meet all kinds of people.
