My path in life took a while to figure out
1.
I was weak with studies as a kid but I never gave up on my studies.
2.
With time I became better and by the time I graduated high school I topped my class with a banner of my name outside the school.
3.
College was another game all together. I got a bit over confident while preparing for my Chartered Accountancy.
4.
I didn't clear my Chartered Accountancy exams in the first go and it took my self confidence away.
5.
Failure was the best thing that happened to me as it made me more patient in life and made me a lot more humble.
6.
This also gave me the time to explore my interest in technology.
7.
Finally with great efforts I cleared my Chartered accountancy exams, got a job with EY but honestly I was not much good with my work.
8.
I attended a training on Data Analytics almost 3 years back and it opened up my mind to an all new world. After that there has been no looking back.
Defining Moments
How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Society in general:
I was a bit geeky in general and was not really like your average Joe in my approach towards life. I have been called under performer someone who needs improvement (a polite way of saying you aren't up to the mark) at various places by various people
How I responded:
It is good to be different. You might be a slow learner but that doesn't mean you are not making progress. Everyone has a different skill set and it's only with patience and time you realize how beautifully your skills mix and match to create application at places you least expect. I am a Chartered accountant who loves technology. I have leveraged on my passion towards technology in my work to create solutions that give me deep creative satisfaction.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
It is difficult when you give your best but you just cant progress further in life. My tip would be to have patience & just believe in Newton's Third Law of Motion "For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction" so your handwork will pay.
