Defining Moments
How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Going back to school as a non-traditional student and having to deal with life and the problems that come with it.
How I responded:
I chose to ignore the negativity and focus on my studies. Just tune it out. Those people aren’t important— they aren’t living your life & your story.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
I’ve faced a lot of obstacles— such as being bullied (as a child, and even as an adult!), having major health problems, surviving an abusive partner. Do not face them alone, reach out to friends & professionals for help.
