Internal Audit in local government is always something different each day — this is why I love it! You are doing work for the good of the community and are involved in many different "businesses" each day (Health & Human Services, Finance, Libraries, Parks and Recreation, Zoning, Law Enforcement, Emergency Management, Information Technology, etc.). One day you might be doing a financial audit — another day, you might be verifying inventory in an evidence room.
