How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Peers:
The government pays you cheap, you get paid more working for the private sector. People who work for the government are lazy.

Follow your passion as it gives you motivation to reach your life goals.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
School expenses were a big financial burden on me. I was able to get through undergraduate with my parents' financial assistance and scholarships. With my graduate degree, I was fortunate with my work's tuition reimbursement program.
Although I was a first generation college student, my parents and relatives, my college advisers, professors, and peers were always there to help me in any way possible.
