How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Peers:
Transition into a new industry from the military would be challenging. I was often pointed towards the manufacturing industry based on my engineering and military service.
How I responded:
Know Yourself; connect with your passions and your strengths. If you maximize the time you spend in these areas, you will contribute more and reach a sense of fulfillment that will enable a settled sense of self that many are striving for. Regardless of the specific function / role you perform, ensure you are culturally and principally aligned with your organization. If you are not, it is only a matter of time before that creates both an emotional and physical toll.
