Advice for Getting Started

Here's the first step for everyone

I'm personally going to be volunteering at a local animal shelter soon, to train / groom dogs. You can always find a certified dog trainer nearby and see if they'll mentor you tho. Ask friends and family if you can possibly train their dogs, it'll give you some experience as well. Getting on at a doggy daycare, dog walking, or pet sitting can also look good on your resume. Getting a membership through an organization, or getting professionally certified through one can make a big difference, too.

The Noise I Shed

From Family:

"I was told that this wouldn't pan out, it's not a real career, I should've went for something else (meaning - choose something to make the most money instead), and overall - a lot weren't too happy about it.They expected me to go to a university instead."
