Life & Career Milestones

My path in life took a while to figure out

  • 1.

Graduation during recession- there were no jobs for inexperienced college kids.

  • 2.

Large student debt- made post grad school hard due to large bills. Just be careful on what you take out.

  • 3.

Moved to A new state for grad school to try something new- best choice I ever made!

  • 4.

Said yes to ever opportunity I could get my hands on- each step led me closer to where I am today.

  • 5.

Networked like it was my job!

  • 6.

Moved from state to state based on what I wanted and where I wanted to end up. I set a goal and I slowly worked towards it.

Defining Moments

How I responded to discouragement

  • THE NOISE

    Messages from Society in general:

You can’t be creative if you aren’t an art director or copy writer.

  • How I responded:

I use my creativity everyday to come up with the coolest ways to advertise for my clients. No day is the same and no project is identical. Being on top of my game and knowing the media and advertising world helps me apply creative twists to client solutions.

Experiences and challenges that shaped me

  • I did not come from a family who could pay for my schooling. I took out a lot of loans which always seemed to fall short of paying the bills and now I’m in debt. While it is hard it is so worth it. I know when and how to fix any problem with a penny.
