Every day is different, but you won't be sitting behind a desk or married to a phone for more than 2 hours at a time. Depending on your territory, you could spend a lot of time traveling.
Here's the first step for everyone
Spend some time doing research on the organization. Can you volunteer with them? Do you know anyone that can introduce you to a recruiter? Ask for an informational interview. If you hit it off with the recruiter, it may land you a job later down the road.
