Defining Moments

How I responded to discouragement

  • THE NOISE

    Messages from Friends:

You aren't really THAT good at Math, why don't you try something else. Don't you want to do something that will earn more money and more appreciation?

  • How I responded:

I am not in this for the money. I feel like working with kids is my Mission Field and that God has blessed me with the ability to be a great teacher and he expects me to use my talents. My reward is in Heaven not here on Earth.

Experiences and challenges that shaped me

  • I came from a divorced family. My parents divorced while I was in High School so my parents didn't have much money. Thankfully I earned a BB scholarship.
