Messages from Society in general:
The majority of people simply had no idea what Geology was or what one could do with a degree. This resulted in most people have an initial negative reaction upon hearing my declared major.
How I responded:
I explained what Geology was, the high demand for recent graduates, positive impacts that can be made in our environment, and that a nice living wage can be earned.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
I am currently paying on my loans and enrolled in Public Service Loan Forgiveness. A program funded by the Federal Government to assist individuals who want to pursue an career in the world of public service.
