A typical day at work for me would be first having a positive attitude about everything going on around me. I sit down at my computer and go over my emails to see if the hiring managers have any question to see if they are looking for a particular kind of candidate to fill their employment void. I then using my technology reach out to various people whom have an interest or may have an interest in the position / s open. I then confer with the management to reach out to the candidate / s.
Here's the first step for college students
The first thing that I always recommend is to find someone who is doing what you want to do on some capacity and then volunteering to learn that process. Their are now books on talent recruiting. Read those books and then ask people who are involved in human resource interviewing in some way and ask them if you can sit in on an interview with them or ask a small business owner if he would let you hire someone for him.
