Milestones

Milestones

My road in life took a while to figure out.
Getting my B.S. in Forestry was a big milestone for me.
I did not have direction after college. I worked in many different jobs, mostly construction. This ended up being good background for life.
I traveled a little, albeit on a very tight budget.
I used my interest and ability in music to get my foot in the door at Travelers.
Prior to working here, I had not even worked an entire year anyplace else. I never thought I would stay at this job for 36 1/2 years.
I am retiring in 3 days!!!!

Recently, I led pieces of the building and integration of our new Disaster Recovery Data Center. In the past, I have been a lead for Mainframe Systems performance and Capacity Planning.

Skills & Qualities Beyond School

For me, the most important thing was embracing teamwork. I have made innumerable friends and they have all helped me along the way. This is not a book learning job.
