Being Creative

Day to Day

I wear a lot of hats during the day, including framing, painting, photographing to post/sell online, social media marketing, and more. My favorite thing to do is to create, so I love doing anything that gives me that freedom.

Skills & Qualities Beyond School

I learned how to be a picture framer from a "master framer" who taught me everything I needed to know. Other then that, I have always been an artist and creator, but have grown my skills with online classes and practice. I'm still learning how to be a business owner and always evolving my skills.

Advice for Getting Started

Here's the first step for middle school students

Always create. My business is always evolving and changing and adding facets. The thing that helped me the most was to alway keep creating no matter what else was going on in my life: I could always fall back on making and creating. Also, connect with other creative people. You need to know you're not alone and have some support from others who share your creative interests.

My career is not related to what I studied. I'd recommend this path instead:
