Milestones

My road in life took a while to figure out.
Took an interest in technology during High School.
Obtained a full time job working with technology while being a full time student studying business.
Over time, my technical skills increased and so did my knowledge in business.
I took on more responsibilities at my current job to help manage and drive new IT projects.
I began to enroll and obtain Project Management certifications to boost my knowledge.
Eventually shifted away from the technical aspect and focused primarily on Project Management.
Even though I still manage IT projects I study online to be up-to-date with the latest technologies.
Today, I am able to easily communicate with technical people and deliver projects without confusion.

Day to Day

A great day for me at work would be to see all required tasks being worked on without any issues or roadblocks. In Project Management, expect the unexpected and be prepared to overcome any obstacles. Where there's a will there's a way!

Advice for Getting Started

Here's the first step for college students

The first step for someone in college looking to pursue a Project Manager occupation would be to establish new friendships with classmates in the same field of study and then join technology clubs that have recruitment / onsite company visits.
