Advice for Getting Started

Here's the first step for college students

Invest a great deal of time in all of your courses and parallel organizations and talk to advisors and career specialists about opportunities and requirements in the field. Take courses that will lead to having strong skills in the areas of general education, communications, and psychology / learning theory. Take advantage of leadership opportunities in academic and professional groups, and read and analyze the current research and practice in education.
