Milestones

My road in life took a while to figure out.
I grew up in Glen Allen VA, raised by a single parent.
Graduated High School, not taking the idea of college very seriously.
Got into Randolph Macon, made a lot of friends, but the curriculum didn't fit what I wanted to do.
Transferred to Old Dominion University, enjoyed the change of scenery and school change.
Graduated after 3 years at ODU.
Got a job a few months later with Capital One.

Day to Day

A great day at work is one that challenges me to problem solve and learn from others. A day that keeps me busy and has very little down time. When I am challenged at work and am constantly busy, the day goes by quicker and I am more efficient.

Advice for Getting Started

Here's the first step for college students

Once you are done with college it might be hard to find the exact job you studied for available. Capital One is a huge company and was originally just a temporary job I had in mind until I found something that was in my field. It turned out to be the best decision I have ever made in my professional career. I decided to stay here, I've been with the company for 3 years and look forward to many more with the company.
