Defining Moments
How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Myself:
I'm lucky enough to have a very supportive circle of friends and family. However, I have discouraged myself. And, I haven't always thought that I was smart enough or capable of certain things in school or at work.
How I responded:
A lot of this negative noise has come from my concern of others' opinion. You will find, as you get older and experience different life situations, everyone is afraid of what others think. I have a quote, I like to revisit during times of discouraging thoughts: "accept what is, let go of what was, and believe in what will be".
