Day to Day

Well "With Great Power Comes With Great Responsibilities".... So student shadowing me would probably deal with multiple Monitor Screens, 10-15 privileged account credentials, different technologies, interpreting technology specific logs, analyzing occurred signatures, detecting attack pattern & identifying malicious payload, reporting / handling security incident, security analysis & investigation, and threat intelligence gathering & sharing.

Skills & Qualities Beyond School

First of all, a student must be passionate about learning new/different technologies with security mindset and keep practicing whatever they learn. Students must have a strong foundation of all technologies out there and then they're ready to go ahead to learn advance. Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), and Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) are the internationally recognized certification which would help a student to take the first successful step towards Cyber Security domain.
