Leading the Naval network warfare missions in developing tactics and procedures to realize tactical, strategic and business advantages afloat and ashore; Driving interoperability with joint, allied and coalition partners; Optimizing organizational effectiveness through cutting-edge technologies, knowledge management techniques and a culture of innovation; Overseeing the work of enlisted Sailors who serve as specialists in information technology.

Advice for Getting Started

Here's the first step for college students

Become involved in your school's ROTC unit, ask about the information warfare community as an option for commissioning, or seek a Navy officer recruiter in your area to see if you qualify for commissioning through Officer Candidate School.
