Day to Day

I work on the phone dealing with underwriting and processing managers to move loan files, trouble shoot specific loan issues, deal with loan file escalations, speak with customers who encounter issues and determine how to move beyond them while keeping the customer first in the interaction. Work with the team who creates, adjusts and approves our mortgage program guidelines and make changes or decline changes as legal, compliance or regulatory impacts dictate potential adjustments.

Advice for Getting Started

Here's the first step for college students

Be open to change, problem solving, learning and experience. I completed my degree because I was so far along, but had learned through my education I had no passion for what I previously thought this was. My education gave me the understanding for customers and assists with the empathy of process, but be willing to learn and grow from strong leaders and mentors in your organization to advance through your career. Seek feedback and those willing to teach you, be willing to do more.
