Day to Day

I manage a team of specialized mortgage loan officers who work with non-profit organizations to layer grants and subsidies onto first lien mortgage loans for LMI individuals. I do a lot of troubleshooting on customer files and build market strategies for our footprint.

Skills & Qualities Beyond School

Communication, empathy, diversity, inclusion, diplomacy... and, a lot of heart.

Advice for Getting Started

Here's the first step for high school students

Communication and articulating thoughts in a diplomatic way is the most important to achieve success as a people manager. I did spend 2 years in college and studied writing and psychology. These two skills have helped me reach where I am right now.

The Noise I Shed

From Parents:

"You should marry someone rich because I wasn't cut out to make it on my own."

I was a rebel and part of the reason I'm successful is because that feedback was so negative and I wanted to prove them wrong. I also knew I was smart enough to be successful and looked inwardly for the strength to continue moving forward.
