Life & Career Milestones

My path in life has been direct

  • 1.

I took a job for a small staffing company just randomly and that set the path for me.

  • 2.

I left and went to a larger staffing company. I learned more and had more responsibilities.

  • 3.

I transitioned into a corporate recruiting position.

  • 4.

I spent time learning more around broader Human Resources while becoming a better recruiter.

Defining Moments

How I responded to discouragement

  • THE NOISE

    Messages from Family:

You need to move up faster and make more money.

  • How I responded:

I just do what I want and am not too concerned with what others want for me. In the end, it's your road, not theirs.

Experiences and challenges that shaped me

  • Staffing roles do not pay a lot for the amount of work you do. It eventually gets better going to corporate.

  • I was the first in my family to get a college degree which has been required for most of the jobs I've had and ultimately created more options for me.
