Defining Moments

How I responded to discouragement

  • THE NOISE

    Messages from Myself:

It's too expensive, do you really like to do that? Does it pay well?

  • How I responded:

When you like something, and you know it, even if you may not know it well or what you're doing, just keep at it.

Experiences and challenges that shaped me

  • My family was very poor. I worked a lot and did odd jobs to make money. Also, doing my research about loans/scholarships, etc.

  • A lot of my family believed in just going straight to work after school or doing trade work. School isn't for everyone but if you go do a good job and focus, you only get out what you put in.
