Defining Moments

How I responded to discouragement

  • THE NOISE

    Messages from Myself:

'You're a woman! You can't do that!' 'You're hispanic! Mexicans don't succeed in that field!' 'You don't have the patience to be a teacher!' 'You only got into USC because they need to fill a quota for females and Mexicans!'

  • How I responded:

Listen to your heart and persevere! Take the negatives and turn them into positives.
