I greet youth as they enter; I chat with them; laugh, engage them with interests, topics of the day or by listening to hear what they want to talk about. I provide answers to questions I know; feedback; or direction to where they can find the answers. I make sure that the time they spend with me is memorable, something well learned or taught, engaging; learning something new about them so that they leave hopeful and with great expectations for themselves, their future, and the next day!

Advice for Getting Started

Here's the first step for college students

I believe that college is crucial to any career or even for those that may have transitioned or will transition in their career. The reason being is because college provides a foundation that high school alone can't. College provides cultural and hands-on experiences, and life skills that will train and prepare you emotionally, physically, and culturally for the challenges,
