Defining Moments
How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Family:
You should just stick with medicine, it's what your family has done.
How I responded:
Stick with what is important to you. It's not going to be the same for other people, and that's okay.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
I grew up in a household of domestic violence, which resulted in me living on the streets at 15 years old.
My parents were both addicted to drugs, and lost everything multiple times as a result.
