I've taken a lot of twists and turns
1.
Have a passion for basketball, but the NBA never drafted me. I was cut from summer team in the late 90's.
2.
Then I made a big mistake by just walking away from my basketball scholarship.
3.
After college I was very lost and worked any kind of job available just to survive.
4.
Even tried medical jobs like phlebotomy and medical assistance.
5.
Then one day I realized I wasn't getting anywhere without a real degree in medicine so I resigned.
6.
So while still going between jobs I was referred to Capital One by my fiance.
7.
I THEN WAS HIRED and have been here since 2012. I want to further my education and finish college.
8.
Either do sports working for Capital One or I can branch out somewhere into the sports world.

How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Peers:
You will never live past 18 years old. Due to your skin tone you will never be successful. Nobody accepts your skin color so you will always be lower level in the corporate world.
How I responded:
NEVER EVER LISTEN TO PEOPLE WHO TRULY DON'T BELIEVE IN YOU OR LOVE YOU.
