My path in life took a while to figure out
1.
I was very shy and self-conscious until about the age of 16.
2.
One day I woke up and realized, "I can pretend to be who I want to be and I'll become it!"
3.
I envisioned who I wanted to be, started acting like that person, and eventually became that person.
4.
I started my blog, "Simple Programmer" in 2009.
5.
When I first created my blog, I realized the more value I gave away, the more it came back to me.
6.
I realized that giving back to the world was my passion.
Defining Moments
How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Peers:
You're going to fail. You're not going to make it.
How I responded:
The only way to avoid criticism is to "say nothing, do nothing and be nothing," and that's no way to live. So get ready, because along every step of the way, you're going to hear some discouragement, and the more successful you become, the more haters you acquire. I've gotten to a point where I can recognize that discouragement comes from a place of insecurity, so I try to reach out to my critics and help them out. As a result, I've turned some of my worst critics into my biggest fans.
