Milestones

My road in life took a while to figure out.
First I took a history course my last semester of college.
Then I went to graduate school to concentrate in museum studies.
Then I got a director's job at a museum.
Then I worked at a state arts council.
Then I worked as a newspaper reporter.
Then I started working at a boarding school.
And then I co-wrote a book on museum leadership.

Day to Day

On a really great day I might take a rare book, painting or photograph to a class, weave it into the curriculum, and see what students make of it. I might give students a tour of an exhibition or work with them to integrate their own work into an exhibit that's ongoing.
