Project Manager - Billing and Regulatory Services
I work across several departments seeking to improve and streamline workflows to increase efficiency.
In my role I think communicating may be the most important skill. I need to effectively discuss with my coworkers the strengths, weaknesses, and limitations of our procedures and the tools we use to implement them. My role is largely undefined. I often seek out new projects and am entrepreneurial in order to stand out and help our company achieve its goals. Most days consist of meetings, working on my projects, and continuing to learn from my coworkers.

Be proactive. You have to be creative, entrepreneurial, and excited to come to work each day and find ways to improve the lives of those around you. These skills are developed young. Join student government or the school play or a sport. Keep an eye out for things you can improve, then build a team, create an action plan, and get moving!
"At Wisconsin, you have to apply to the business school after freshman year after taking general education courses. I was told it was a huge risk to apply because I might not get in. I might get stuck not majoring in what I want."
