Day to Day

A day in the life of an ERM is exciting and always changing. We would walk into the office and be greeted by happy, welcoming faces. As an ERM, much of our work is done through e-mails and reporting systems, so I would start out by looking in my inbox and disseminating out cases to other ERMs and myself. ERMs act as investigators to make sure we understand the issue thoroughly and provide the best guidance to our clients. All the while having fun with our fellow peers!

Advice for Getting Started

I would recommend they visit their Career Services office to gather information on what an HR professional does and what HR internship opportunities are available. I would also recommend they visit their Academic Advisor to guide them to HR courses that will expose them to the vast disciplines within HR.
