Day to Day

A great day in HR Analytics is a day where my customers have a clear understanding of what human relations problem they are trying to solve and come to me to learn how I can help them find a solution to their problem or questions regarding our associates. The day would include ideation sessions with other members of my team and network to expand my perspective of the problem. The day would also include exploratory data mining work to begin searching for a resolution to my customer's questions.

Advice for Getting Started

Here's the first step for college students

The most important first step is to talk to someone in my occupation to develop an understanding of what the work actually entails in order to identify if it is work that the student can be passionate about, excited about, and actually wants to do. Then I think it is important to understand what type of educational plan would best position the student to be competitive upon graduation.
