Defining Moments
How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Society in general:
Nobody with a humanities degree uses it anymore. You'll be slinging coffee after graduation.
How I responded:
While I might not be living the dream of a professional writer, I found a practical application for the skills I learned in college. There are always ways to apply your knowledge - sometimes you just have to get creative and think outside the box!
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
I was diagnosed with ADHD-PI in college. Because of this, I never developed very good focus or organizational habits. I found a job that works within my limitations - I'm always able to switch my attention between multiple projects.
